Description

We are extremely excited to offer this special spagyric extract of Yarrow, harvested and alchemically prepared by Father Francis Tiso. Father Tiso is a Catholic priest with an active parish in Italy. He is a scholar, author, artist, yogin, alchemist and all around amazing person who works tirelessly for everyone in his sphere – especially the disenfranchised and those in deepest need.
He is particularly interested in inter-religious dialogue and Tibetan Buddhism and has greatly contributed to both these areas through his scholarship and activities. It has been my great pleasure to know Father Tiso for more than 20 years, and I continue to be astonished by the depth and breadth of his understanding and personal development in so many areas. You can read more about him here.

About The Formula
Yarrow (Achillea millefolium), is a flowering plant in the family Asteracea. Yarrow is a traditional herbal medicine in use since ancient times in Europe and the Americas. Traditional uses include stopping bleeding and healing wounds, relieving toothache and earache and as a general analgesic (pain reliever) and remedy for the common cold. It was also held to aid sleep by the indigenous people of the great plains.

Due to the special knowledge and care Father Tiso uses in his spagyric preparations, as well as his personal blessings, this tincture of Yarrow is sure to have many healing benefits.

Father Tiso’s personal instructions on using this tincture:
“Yarrow is very easy to use, especially for skin problems like insect bites and wounds: just put the extract on the lesion. I just had a guest who is very sensitive to mosquito bites; she had several very itchy swellings on her arm, so I placed a piece of gauze soaked in yarrow extract on her arm, and held it in place with a not-too-tight rubber band.  In less than a minute she had relief and the swellings were almost gone.  This person has many allergies, but she had no allergic reactions to this treatment.

I used yarrow extract in my 1997 trek to Dolpo to treat the blisters on the feet of our porters – it disinfects and dries the blister overnight (after carefully removing the lymph from the blister, and applying the extract directly to the blister site. This can sting a bit, but the pain quickly passes.)
To support the digestive system, 10-20 drops in a half glass of water is very effective; it seems to strengthen the cilia of the small intestine and restore overall digestive health; it is a slight peristaltic simulator.  It is also very good in combination with other extracts (including artemisia, goldenrod, licorice, lemon balm, verbena and scutellaria) as an antiviral prevention method (take the extracts with water after breakfast for prevention; take three or four times a day in a small glass of water to assist the body in clearing viruses when there are symptoms).

Packaged in a 30ml amber glass bottle with European dropper valve.

DOSAGE: 10-20 drops in a small glass of water. A smaller amount may be taken directly under the tongue, although this may burn slightly. Take 1-2 times daily, although this may vary according to the individual and his / her condition.

SPAGYRIC TINCTURES offer a more energetically complete herb or plant extraction than simple extracts. These concentrated formulas contain the three essentials – that is, the body, soul and spirit – of the herb or plant, purified and recombined in an exalted medicinal form. The spagyric technique is part of the ancient initiatic tradition of alchemy – the Art that lies at the heart of the inner traditions of the West.

Ordinary herbal tinctures only partially utilize the curative powers of the plants from which they are prepared. Spagyric tinctures are made according to unique processes which ‘open’ the plant or herb and liberate stronger curative powers. The spagyric technique of confecting herbal remedies embodies another – more synergistic – way of considering Nature and its powers.
